My life is not what I thought it would be.
There are trials and tribulations I thought I would never have.
I always thought that having God in my life would make everything perfect.
Sometimes it makes things hard.
Just a closer walk with thee.
Trials and tribulations I will see.
Though through them all you will be.
Just a closer walk with thee.
It seems that just when life starts going great, something happens.
A trial or tribulation that God uses to teach me discipline.
Handing my life over to God is difficult.
I know how I want things to be, but God has different plans.
Just a closer walk with thee.
Trials and tribulations I will see.
Though through them all you will be.
Just a closer walk with thee.
Because I see things one way, and God sees them another way, life can be hard.
I never knew it could be this hard.
I just have to remember that God loves me and only wants what is best.
Lead me and guide me. Love me and teach me.

I feel that God wants me to get my writings out into the world. The writings that you will be reading here were written by my hand, but come from God. He gives me the words and I just write them. I pray that when you read the words, God talks to you! Please leave comments or email me about how He does talk to you through these writings. God Bless!!

Sister
I am a sister, whose brother is known
by almost everyone.
I am a sister, whose brother gave his
all for me.
I am a sister, whose brother talks
to our father.
I am a sister, whose brother understands
my desires and wants.
I am a sister, whose brother died
so I could live.
I am a sister, whose brother lives
in my heart.
I am a sister.
Jesus’ sister.

Daughter
I am a daughter, whose father is the
best father ever.
I am a daughter, whose father only
wants what is best for me.
I am a daughter, whose father loves
more than all his daughters.
I am a daughter, whose father disciplines
because he loves me.
I am a daughter, whose father listens
to my fears, my dreams, my hopes.
I am a daughter, whose father gives me
what I need, not what I want.
I am a daughter.
God’s daughter.

Faith
Faith.
What a glorious thing.
Belief.
In an all-knowing God.
Hope.
That we will go home.
Joy.
At the thought of what home brings.
Love.
What awaits us at the door.

Red:White
Red
The color of blood, Jesus’ blood.
The color of dogwood blossoms.
The color of the sun
coming up in the morning over the blue ocean.
White
The color of purity and peace.
The color of dogwood blossoms.
The color of the crescent moon
hanging in the morning watching in awe
as the sun fills the sky with light.

God’s Amazing Creations
The sky is gray with clouds,
Speckled on the horizon,
Orange, yellow, blue, green.
Lights flash in the distance of a passing boat.
Shrimp? Maybe.
Palms sway ever so lightly.
Butterflies flit around,
As sand daubers are chased by the waves.
Seagulls soar and waves crash,
Their white tops pelting the beach.
Fisher men are already catching their fair,
As the Fisher of Men starts a new day.
Pelicans with their graceful flight
Look for a place to crash.
The noise is deafening,
As if the waves want to drown out
Any noise not made by God.
Birds, all you can hear, not cars.
The gray is almost gone from the sky.
Lots of blue with clouds on the horizon.
Another great day to walk with
The footprints in the sand.
